Through the agreement, companies can accelerate and modernise their bid management capability
A UK management consultancy and an Australian start up have formed a strategic partnership to streamline and simplify the competitive tendering process.
Brisbane-based Bidhive has developed a new software platform to make it easier for cross-functional teams to manage their bid activity. Harmonic work with clients to increase the probability of winning campaigns, by working with clients to bid more effectively within the business winning budget, ensuring high-quality bids are delivered consistently and upskilling through on-job and virtual classroom-based training and development.
The partnership will tap into the expertise and experience of each entity. Harmonic and Bidhive have together set themselves the goal of driving forward co-innovations to support enterprise bid teams’ digital transformation.
Bidhive is different from other working environments that focus purely on bid document collaboration. Bidhive streamlines a company’s entire bidding approach by providing the tools and data analytics they need to unify strategic intelligence and oversight from start to finish.
Over the last 15 years, Harmonic, which works wth industry and government across a number of sectors including defence & security, transport, outsourcing, infrastructure and technology, has won more than £15bn of new business for its global customers, much via the competitive tendering process.
Several UK businesses have now started using Bidhive with other clients spanning the world.
Peter Blunden, Head of Business Winning at Harmonic, said: “Over the last few years we have seen a rapid increase in consortium and collaborative bids, where our customers have time and cost implications, through having to work with various platforms.
“All of these bring the added burden of significant access and security challenges, which directly impacts the quality of submissions.”
“One of the key elements of Bidhive is its end to end bid management process. Digitising bidding brings a much needed disruption to the traditional methods. We aim to deliver a digital approach which will result in higher quality bids, costing up to 30% less.”
“Our partnership with Bidhive will enable our UK and global customers to work as one team and have rapid access to the right information, at the right time. This partnership is very exciting for Harmonic, working with an outcome-focused, technically advanced team at Bidhive, who perfectly complement our values to achieve transformational outcomes with our customers.”
Nyree McKenzie, CEO and Co-Founder of Bidhive said: “This is an ideal type of partnership for Bidhive. This collaboration will benefit not only the two companies, but also to those that need to bid for work on a major contract, and do it in a more agile and effective way with others in their supply chain.”
Bidhive is an end-to-end bid management platform for companies to plan, manage and track their bid management activity. Early adopters of the platform include Independent Clinical Services and Matrix SCM from the UK , the decommissioning unit of the Danish logistics conglomerate Maersk, WorkPac Group Australia and Waste Management in the US.
