Harmonic Appoints Rufus McNeil As Chief Operating Officer
We’re delighted to share the news that Rufus McNeil, a Director at Harmonic since November 2020, has been appointed our new Chief Operating Officer.
Since joining the team, Rufus has overseen two major programmes for BAE Systems Submarines. His previous roles have included Head of Transformation for DHL Supply Chain, and Transformation Director for a Babcock–DHL joint venture, which involved delivering a £6.5Bn Ministry of Defence logistic commodities and services transformation bid.
Before becoming a transformation and change leader, Rufus had a long career in the Army. He was Brigade Commander for 3,500 personnel, and also worked as a ministerial aide to the Defence Secretary.
“I’m delighted with Rufus’ appointment as our new COO,” says Tom Samuel, Harmonic’s Chief Executive. “He is already an invaluable member of our team and has the skills and experience we need to propel the business forward.”
“Rufus’ predecessor, Cliff Green, was a relentless, creative leader who played a huge part in Harmonic’s transformation over the past four years. This growth is set to continue following our acquisition by KBR, and I know that in Rufus we have another leader with the dynamism and skillset to steer us as we strengthen our capabilities and extend our reach into key UK markets.”
Rufus McNeil says: “I am very much looking forward to helping to lead Harmonic through an exciting period of change. We have a fantastic, highly-skilled team and are ready to drive ever-greater profitable, sustainable growth for our customers.”
